Mobile Facilities
Gencom has been building Outside Broadcast vehicles for 20 years. From small vans, to box trucks, to full size trailers capable of supporting 16+ cameras, Gencom has the track record, the engineering expertise and the supply relationships to ensure a successful delivery.
Gencom can project-manage the entire process including vehicle selection, design of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems, broadcast system design, furniture layout and ergonomics, installation and commissioning. We can also support customer-driven projects with additional consultancy, resources, and facilities.
Gencom's expertise extends beyond outside broadcast vehicles, however. Following on the success of projects for Sky NZ, TVNZ, Fiji TV and others, Gencom was approached to build a mobile digital mammography trailer for Breastscreen Aotearoa. This NZ government program brings advanced breastscreening services to women throughout the country, including rural areas that traditionally were not well-served in this capacity. Following the success of the first trailer, Gencom became deeply involved with the rollout of these facilities across New Zealand; ultimately building or completely refurbishing 9 of the 10 vehicles in the country.
