Cobalt doubles down on high-density IP workflows

Cobalt Digital used NAB Show 2026 to reinforce a clear direction: more power, more density, and more flexibility for IP-based workflows. Their latest developments focus on high-density ST 2110 gateway processing, alongside dynamic HDR to SDR conversions, all designed to live natively within the openGear ecosystem.

At the centre of the announcement is the new BlueCore platform, a compact but capable processing solution built to handle both SDI and ST 2110 environments. It is designed for broadcasters and facilities navigating hybrid infrastructure, where legacy baseband and IP workflows need to coexist without compromise.

Support for IPMX adds another layer of flexibility, opening the door for Pro AV and broadcast convergence. This makes it easier to deploy consistent, standards-based workflows across a wider range of production environments, from traditional broadcast through to live events and corporate AV.

The result is a highly scalable approach to signal processing. By combining density, format flexibility, and openGear integration, Cobalt is giving facilities a practical path forward as they continue the shift toward IP.
