BirdDog O4 takes Best of Show at IBC 2026

BirdDog’s new O4 outdoor PTZ camera made an impressive debut at IBC 2026, taking home a Best of Show Award and adding another option for productions that need high-quality remote cameras outside the controlled environment of a studio.

Designed specifically for permanent and demanding outdoor installations, O4 combines 4K60 imaging with a powerful 40x optical zoom, allowing operators to capture detailed images over considerable distances. Its IP66-rated enclosure provides protection against dust, rain, and challenging weather conditions, making it suitable for applications including sports, live events, venues, houses of worship, traffic, and other outdoor productions.

O4 is also designed firmly around modern IP production. Native NDI connectivity allows video, audio, control, tally, and other production data to travel across the network, while BirdDog’s broader software and control ecosystem provides options for remote operation and integration into larger workflows.
