Barnfind BarnColor simplifies fibre signal transport

Moving multiple signals over fibre does not need to mean a complicated setup. Barnfind’s BarnColor range is designed as a straightforward, plug-and-play solution for transporting multiple signals bidirectionally over a single fibre connection, with no compression or added latency.

The modular system includes options for 3G-SDI, 12G-SDI, Ethernet with PoE, SFP-based connectivity, and uncompressed native 4K HDMI. Different BarnColor models can be combined within the same system, allowing the fibre link to be configured around the mix of signals required for a particular production or installation.

Each colour represents a different wavelength, allowing up to four different BarnColor units to be daisy-chained on each side of the fibre connection. For example, the 3G-SDI and 12G-SDI models can scale to as many as 32 signals, with 16 in each direction, over a single fibre cable.

Designed for both fixed and temporary installations, BarnColor provides a practical way to simplify on-site rigging while leaving room to expand the system as requirements change. For live production, events, broadcast, and other environments where multiple signals need to travel reliably over distance, it is a refreshingly simple approach to fibre transport.
